Guys. Everything worked out. We can all let out a breath in three, two, one...Ah. Perfect.
Two months ago, I was admitted into University of California, Riverside for their MFA in Creative Writing and Writing for the Performing Arts. It was actually on April 1st when I got the email haha. Quite silly and definitely not a joke. I hope? (:
I was also awarded the Chancellor's Distinguished Fellowship. My first year of school is all paid for and the second year I'll receive a $2000 stipend every month and tuition will be covered. Words can't describe how grateful and honored I felt and still feel now, eight weeks later.
Zac and I moved from Utah to California at the end of April and we were just approved yesterday for an apartment in Riverside. We'll move in at the beginning of July! School doesn't start until the end of September, so Zac still has a good amount of time to find a job. He's applied for a ton of research lab assistant positions at UCR as well as Loma Linda University. He's also applied for a Walgreen's Pharmacy Intern position. Basically, we're in limbo waiting for any job interview. Everything will work out, right? (Everyone nod enthusiastically).
Let me benefit sell my apartment. Our apartment is actually a town home and so so beautiful. Brand new appliances in the kitchen (which is great), hard wood plank flooring throughout the entire apartment (which will be nice), a spacious balcony (great for sunshine), a renovated bathroom (also great), and an open concept throughout the bottom floor (also nice). (haha That made me miss PSI! I miss you guys! Sara, Megan, Nikita, Susan, Hannah, Kent, Shelly, Lauren, Taylor, Nicole, Nancy, Alex, Felipe! TEAM SPARKLY SARA FOREVER).
It's kinda cool this whole new adventure thing. I'm nervous and excited to meet all kinds of new people from new places with new life experiences.
Eee! Get hype, baby, get hype!
